MCALLEN, TX (March 25, 2026) – Monday afternoon, a fatal Metro McAllen bus crash on Nolana Avenue and 23rd Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 5:41 p.m. on Nolana Avenue and 23rd Street.

According to the McAllen Police, a white loading van struck a Metro McAllen bus that was stopped and waiting to make a turn.

Moreover, responders rushed a 60-year-old male driver of a box truck to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Then, paramedics transported multiple individuals to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
