BANNING, CA (May 28, 2026) – Thursday night, a fatal pedestrian crash on 1100 W Ramsey Street near 8th Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 10:45 p.m. on 1100 W Ramsey Street near 8th Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a westbound on-duty Banning Police Officer struck a southbound pedestrian in a wheelchair who was crossing the westbound lanes.

Moreover, responders rushed the pedestrian to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
