BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 4, 2025) – Saturday morning, a fatal pedestrian crash on 900 Union Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened at around 9:00 a.m. at the 900 block of Union Avenue.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a northbound vehicle struck a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway outside a marked crosswalk.

Moreover, responders rushed the victim to a hospital with major injuries.

Furthermore, officers do not believe that speed or impairment played a role in the crash.
