HOPKINS COUNTY, TX (January 22, 2026) – Monday morning, a fatal pedestrian crash on Interstate 30 near Mile Marker 118 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 6:45 a.m. on Interstate 30 near Mile Marker 118.

According to the Department of Public Safety, a westbound pickup truck struck a male pedestrian who was crossing the road with a spare tire to help a family member who stopped because of a flat tire.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the man died in the crash.
