LONG BEACH, CA (May 20, 2026) – Monday afternoon, a fatal pedestrian crash on Paramount Boulevard and 56th Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 4:39 p.m. on Paramount Boulevard and 56th Street.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, a northbound 2020 Honda Civic struck a child who ran into the street.

Moreover, responders rushed the victim to a hospital, where the patient was later pronounced dead.
