1 Person Dead in Chula Vista Pedestrian Accident on Second Avenue near G Street

CHULA VISTA, CA (July 1, 2025) – Monday afternoon, a fatal pedestrian crash on Second Avenue near G Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 2:45 p.m. in the 400 block of Second Avenue, near G Street.

According to the Chula Vista Police Department, a Ram 3500 pickup truck struck a 49-year-old female pedestrian for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders rushed the victim to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, authorities withheld the identity of the deceased, pending notification to the next of kin.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified. 

Due to limited information, the Chula Vista Police Department continued investigating the crash.
