TEMECULA, CA (October 13, 2025) – Friday morning, a fatal pedestrian crash on State Route 74 near Melba Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened just after midnight on State Route 74 near Melba Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck a pedestrian after another vehicle swerved to avoid the victim.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the victim died in the crash.

Furthermore, the crash closed all eastbound lanes of State Route 64 but has long since reopened.
