ST LOUIS, MO (April 13, 2026) – Saturday morning, a fatal rear-end crash on Interstate 70 near Lake Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 7:20 a.m. on Interstate 70 near Lake Street.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2022 Hyundai Elantra failed to stay in a single lane and rear-ended a 2005 Toyota Tacoma. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Toyota to roll over, ejecting the 70-year-old male driver in the process.

Moreover, responders pronounced the driver of the Toyota dead at the scene.
