1 Person Dead in San Leandro Traffic Accident near 136th Avenue and Bancroft Avenue

SAN LEANDRO, CA (February 3, 2026) – Saturday night, a fatal rollover crash near 136th Avenue and Bancroft Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened at around 11:17 p.m. near the intersection of 136th Avenue and Bancroft Avenue.

According to the San Leandro PD, a white Infiniti FX35 lost control around a corner, struck a parked car, and rolled over.

Moreover, responders rushed the driver of the vehicle to a hospital with major injuries. Then, paramedics pronounced a passenger of the vehicle dead at the scene. Also, a third passenger of the vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Furthermore, officers said the incident occurred during a sideshow and street-racing patrol operation.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the San Leandro PD continued investigating the crash.
