1 Person Dead After Two-Vehicle Crash on Figueroa Street in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA (February 28, 2026) – A person died early Saturday morning following a two-vehicle crash on Figueroa Street, authorities confirmed.

The collision occurred near the intersection of Figueroa and Third streets. The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that paramedics and firefighters responded to the scene at approximately 2:03 a.m.

Emergency crews transported the injured individual to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, the person later succumbed to their injuries.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the Central Traffic Division is actively investigating the crash. 

Officials stated that drugs and/or alcohol may have been contributing factors in the collision.
