ARLETA, CA (October 20, 2025) – Sunday morning, a fatal wrong-way crash on 5 Freeway and Alameda Avenue killed 1.

The incident happened at around 3:45 a.m. on 5 Freeway and Alameda Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound vehicle that was traveling in the northbound lanes collided with another vehicle.

Moreover, the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that one person died in the crash.

Furthermore, the incident closed all northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway at Alameda Avenue.
