Deadly Brentwood Auto Accident on Highway 4 and Balfour Road

BRENTWOOD, CA (June 10, 2026) – Early Tuesday morning, a devastating traffic crash on Highway 4 and Balfour Road led to a fatality.

The incident happened at about 1:41 a.m. on eastbound Highway 4, just north of Balfour Road.

The California Highway Patrol issued a traffic alert at 2:12 a.m. advising that all eastbound lanes of Highway 4 were blocked because of the crash.

During the closure, traffic was diverted off the highway at Sand Creek Road.

The highway reopened at approximately 5 a.m.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
