Deadly Salado Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35 and Farm to Market 2484

SALADO, TX (August 4, 2025) – Early Sunday morning, a horrific auto accident on Interstate 35 and Farm to Market 2484 led to fatality.

The incident involving a commercial vehicle and a passenger car happened at around 3:25 a.m. on Interstate 35 at the Farm to Market 2484 overpass.

The Texas Department of Public Safety–Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that has shut down a portion of Interstate 35.

Southbound traffic is being diverted at Exit 285 (FM 2484), while northbound traffic is being redirected at Exit 286. Drivers were advised to take alternate routes.

The Bell County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Salado Police and Fire Departments, assisted with the response.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
