Pharr, TX (February 25, 2023) On Thursday, Pharr PD arrested 19-year-old Fernando Alberto Balladarez after a fatal auto-pedestrian crash on South Jackson Road.

Officials say that the deadly hit-and-run crash happened at the intersection with Ridge Road. Responding officers found the body of a dead man.

Reports say that a white 2001 Chevrolet Silverado truck fatally struck the pedestrian and fled the scene afterward. Officials say that another vehicle struck the man, the driver also did not stop to render aid to the fallen pedestrian.

Pharr PD arrested Fernando Alberto Balladarez, Balladarez was driving the Silverado that failed to stop and render aid.

Moreover, authorities are still searching for the other suspect driver and vehicle.
