Passenger Fernando Pahua-Rincon Hurt in Rollover Crash on US Highway 97A [Chelan, WA]

Chelan, WA (June 27, 2025) — Fernando Pahua-Rincon and Amorita Tevino were injured Thursday afternoon after a suspected DUI-related rollover crash on U.S. Highway 97A, about one mile north of Chelan in Chelan County.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash occurred around 4 p.m. when a sedan driven by 38-year-old Amorita C. Tevino of Omak veered off the roadway, struck a boulder, and overturned. The vehicle came to rest blocking the southbound lane near milepost 237.

Trevino and her passenger, 28-year-old Fernando Pahua-Rincon of Brewster, suffered injuries and were taken to Lake Chelan Community Hospital for treatment.

Investigators believe drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash. The incident caused traffic delays on the highway for several hours while crews cleared the scene and conducted the investigation.
