Daly City Vehicle Crash on Interstate 289 near Serramonte Center

DALY CITY, CA (April 22, 2026) – Tuesday morning, a fiery auto accident on Interstate 280 near Serramonte Center shut down several lanes.

The incident happened just before 6:00 a.m. on Interstate 280 near the Serramonte Center.

Authorities said a Tesla caught fire after crashing and overturning, creating a hazard for other drivers.

All northbound lanes were shut down by 6:34 a.m., with two right lanes reopening around 8:40 a.m.

It is not yet known whether wet road conditions contributed to the crash. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
