Police Investigate Fiery Multi-Vehicle Crash on Central Ave NW 

Albuquerque, NM (March 28, 2025) – Just after 1:56 PM, the Albuquerque Police Department and Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle crash on Central Ave NW and Tingley Dr SW involving at least four vehicles.

When officers arrived, they found that one of the vehicles, reportedly a Volvo S40, had caught fire. 

The driver had already fled the scene. Albuquerque Fire Rescue provided aid at the scene while Engine 1 worked to extinguish the fire.

Authorities closed westbound Central at Tingley as crews continued cleaning up the crash.
