Child Hospitalized After Crash on Cherry Avenue and I-10 in Fontana

Fontana, CA (March 11, 2026) – A fiery multi-vehicle crash on Cherry Avenue left four people injured, including a small child, late Saturday night.

At approximately 10:44 p.m. on March 7, 2026, San Bernardino County Fire crews, Fontana Police Department officers, and AMR paramedics responded to a traffic collision near Cherry Avenue and the 10 Freeway. 

When emergency personnel arrived, they found at least three vehicles involved in the crash, with one of the vehicles fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters quickly worked to put out the fire while paramedics treated the injured victims at the scene. 

Authorities transported four people, including a small child, to local hospitals. Officials did not immediately disclose the extent of their injuries.

Investigators indicated the crash may have been connected to suspected street racing. 

Authorities also reported that one person fled from the suspect vehicle after the collision. 

It was not immediately clear whether officers located that individual.

The investigation remains ongoing.
