1 Person Hurt in Phoenix Auto Accident on 48th Avenue and Happy Valley Road

PHOENIX, AZ (April 27, 2025) – Friday morning, a fiery vehicle crash on 48th Avenue and Happy Valley Road injured one person.

The incident happened at around 8:00 a.m. near the intersection of 48th Avenue and Happy Valley Road.

According to reports, an eastbound SUV crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle. Then, one of the vehicles erupted into flames after the crash.

Moreover, firefighters rushed to the scene and extricated a man trapped inside one of the vehicles. Then, paramedics transported the man with unknown injuries and a 4-year-old girl with life-threatening injuries to a hospital for treatment.

Furthermore, officers do not believe that impairment played a role in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
