Five-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 10 Injures 4 [Fontana, CA]

Fontana, CA (September 10, 2026) — Four people were hospitalized, including one with major injuries, after a five-vehicle collision on Interstate 10 early Monday morning.

The crash occurred around 1:58 a.m. on September 7, 2026, near Etiwanda Avenue. CHP officers, firefighters, and paramedics from San Bernardino County and Ontario responded and found five vehicles involved.

Firefighters rescued one person trapped inside a heavily damaged vehicle. Paramedics transported that victim to a hospital with major injuries. Three other people also went to hospitals for treatment, although their injury severity was not immediately known.

The collision blocked all westbound lanes for more than an hour as authorities investigated and crews cleared the wreckage. The cause remained under investigation.
