Tucson, AZ (December 19, 2025) – A major crash at Alvernon and Irvington involving five vehicles left three people seriously injured on Friday morning. 

The crash occurred around 6:00 a.m. on December 19 at the intersection of Alvernon Way and Irvington Road, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities confirmed that one individual sustained life-threatening injuries, while two others were seriously hurt in the multi-vehicle crash. 

Emergency responders arrived on scene and provided immediate medical care before transporting the victims to local hospitals.

The severity of the collision prompted officials to close the roadway until approximately 11:45 a.m. as investigators assessed the scene and cleared debris.
