Police Investigate Crash on Blanco Road in Bexar County

BEXAR COUNTY, TX (July 23, 2026)— Five people were hospitalized after a wrong-way head-on crash on Blanco Road in north Bexar County on Thursday night, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the crash at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the 25000 block of Blanco Road near Midnight Drive.

Investigators said a truck traveling southbound in the northbound lanes collided head-on with a northbound SUV.

In an updated statement released Friday, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that all five occupants involved in the crash were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

Authorities reported that three people—two occupants of the SUV and one occupant of the truck—sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The remaining two individuals also suffered injuries.

The sheriff’s office later confirmed that all five people had been released from the hospital and are expected to recover.

Investigators said alcohol does not appear to have been a contributing factor in the collision.

The circumstances surrounding the wrong-way crash remain under investigation
