Four Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 8 in Washington County

Washington County, MO (September 28, 2025) — On Thursday afternoon, a four-vehicle crash on Highway 8 at Auburn Lane left four people injured.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 4:15 p.m. when a 20-year-old driver from Cadet, behind the wheel of a Ford F-250, failed to stop in time and rear-ended a Jeep Patriot. The impact set off a chain reaction that also involved a GMC Canyon and a Ford F-150.

Reports say that a 33-year-old woman from French Village, who was driving the Jeep, and her 15-year-old passenger both suffered serious injuries. The teen was airlifted to SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, while the driver was taken to Mercy Hospital South. A 41-year-old Mineral Point man driving the GMC sustained moderate injuries and was also taken to Mercy South. A 53-year-old Jeep passenger suffered minor injuries and was treated at Washington County Memorial Hospital.

Three of the vehicles were totaled and removed from the scene.
