Fresno County, CA (March 13, 2026) — Authorities identified 47-year-old Francisco Fonseca Roza of Reedley as the motorcyclist who lost his life in a crash Thursday morning near Minkler in Fresno County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 6 a.m. near Reed Avenue and Highway 180.

Reports say that Roza was riding his motorcycle northbound on Reed Avenue when a southbound Lexus attempted to pass slower traffic ahead. During the maneuver, the vehicle entered the opposite lane and collided head-on with Roza.

The force of the crash ejected Roza from his motorcycle. He died at the scene.

Authorities say that the driver of the Lexus was not injured. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
