Francisco Miguel Perez Dead After Truck Crash on 21st Street and Wheaton in Clovis

Clovis, NM (February 6, 2025) – 19-year-old Francisco Miguel Perez died in a crash on 21st Street and Wheaton involving two passenger trucks that occurred just before noon Thursday..

The Clovis Police Department reported receiving a 911 call alerting dispatchers to the collision. Upon arrival, officers found both vehicles severely damaged in a field east of the intersection.

Emergency responders extricated the driver of a Ford F350 from the wreckage and transported them to Plains Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The driver of the second vehicle, a Nissan truck, was identified as 19-year-old Francisco Miguel Perez. He had been ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Clovis Police Department activated its Major Crash Team to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of the collision.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the crash to contact the Clovis Police Department’s non-emergency line at 575-769-1921.
