57-Year-Old Man Killed in Arleta Hit-and-Run, Suspect Sought

Arleta, CA (December 5, 2024) On Wednesday, 57-year-old Frank Padilla of Panorama City was killed in a tragic hit-and-run crash on Terra Bella Street.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the fatal incident happened at about 9:20 p.m. at the intersection with Dorrington Avenue.

Authorities have identified Padilla, a 57-year-old Panorama City resident, as the victim of a fatal hit-and-run collision in Arleta on Wednesday night.

Reports say that the crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of Terra Bella Street and Dorrington Avenue.

Officials say that a white Dodge Charger, speeding westbound on Terra Bella Street, struck Padilla as he crossed the street in an unmarked crosswalk. The driver fled the scene without stopping to provide aid, as required by law.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced Padilla dead at the scene.

To help solve the case, the city of Los Angeles has offered a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the driver’s arrest.
