Bicyclist Dies After Car Collision in Chino

Chino, CA (September 7, 2025) – A 59-year-old Fredrick Lopez of Montclair lost his life Wednesday evening after a tragic bicycle accident on Central Avenue.

According to authorities, the fatal crash happened around 8:12 p.m. in the 11800 block of Central Avenue, just north of Philadelphia Street.

Authorities said Lopez was crossing Central Avenue when a vehicle driven by 65-year-old Chino resident Yuping Xing hit him.

Paramedics rushed Lopez to a hospital, but he later died from his injuries.

Investigators are still working to determine the exact cause of the collision and are asking for witnesses or surveillance footage to aid in the investigation.
