Two Injured After Police Chase Ends in Crash in Moore County
Moore County, TX (March 20, 2026) — Two people were injured after a frightening collision on FM 119 on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident began when troopers attempted to stop a car for traffic violations along FM 152 in nearby Hutchinson County. The driver refused to pull over and led authorities on a chase that continued into Moore County.
The pursuit ended near the intersection of FM 119 and FM 1284 when the suspect’s vehicle collided with another car. The crash left two occupants in the struck vehicle hurt, and emergency crews transported them to a hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities arrested the suspect at the scene. The crash forced officials to shut down FM 119 near the intersection, rerouting traffic through FM 1284 while crews cleared the roadway and launched an investigation.
Let’s Avoid Traffic Accidents
Avoiding auto accidents involves paying attention and practicing safe driving methods. And as always, you should follow the speed and traffic laws, and don’t text (or use your phone in any way) behind the wheel.
Keep a safe trailing distance to be able to stop, if necessary.
Do not drink and drive, and never get behind the wheel if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or if you are tired.
Watch your mirrors and use your turn signals, and check your blind spots, before changing lanes or making a turn. Drive calmly and patiently, especially in heavy traffic or bad weather.
When you drive responsibly and remain alert, you help prevent accidents and keep everyone on the road safe.
Police pursuits can quickly turn dangerous for innocent drivers. If you encounter a chase on the road, keep your distance, pull over safely if possible, and remain alert. Following traffic laws and staying aware of your surroundings can help reduce the risk of becoming an unintended victim.
