Tacoma, WA (April 22, 2025) – A frightening pedestrian crash on Highway 12 early Sunday morning left a 29-year-old Chehalis man hurt.

According to authorities, the shocking incident happened on U.S. Highway 12 near Interstate 5 at around 4:10 a.m.

Reports say that a pickup truck traveling east on U.S. Highway 12 struck a pedestrian with its side mirror.

The male pedestrian stood in the eastbound lane when the 65-year-old driver from Tenino swerved in an attempt to avoid him.

Despite the effort, the truck’s right-side mirror hit the pedestrian.

Emergency personnel transported the injured man to Tacoma General Hospital. The driver was unharmed.
