Frightening Traffic Crash on SR 16 Led to Injury [Bremerton, WA]

Bremerton, WA (April 20, 2025) – A suspected DUI traffic crash on SR 16 Friday evening left a female passenger hurt.

According to authorities, the shocking incident happened around 7 p.m. on State Route 16 near Pearl Street.

Reports say that the suspected DUI crash injured a 28-year-old Tacoma woman after the car she was riding in rolled onto its roof.

Authorities say that a 25-year-old Bremerton woman lost control of her westbound white Mazda, crossing all lanes before hitting the right shoulder barrier.

The impact flipped the vehicle, which came to rest in the right lane and was completely totaled. Emergency crews transported the injured passenger to St. Joseph Medical Center. Neither of the two passengers wore seatbelts. The driver, who wore a seatbelt, was unharmed. A 23-year-old Bremerton woman, also riding in the vehicle, was not injured.

Authorities closed the roadway for over three and a half hours during the investigation.
