Driver Gael Navarrette Transported in SR 26 Collision [Othello, WA]

Othello, WA (December 26, 2025) – 20-year-old Gael Navarrette of Othello was injured following a SR 26 collision Tuesday night.

It was before 9 p.m. when the a sedan driver by 32-year-old Yalil Pineda Santos of Mexico, swerved onto the shoulder and rear-ended a pickup truck parked along the roadway.

The pickup truck’s driver, Navarrette, sustained injuries and was flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

Santos also sustained injuries and was transported to Othello Hospital. Police charged him with vehicular assault.
