Parents Lourdes Garcia and Galdino Limon Killed in San Jose Car Accident

 
SAN JOSE, CA (September 29, 2020) – On Sunday, Galdino Limon and Lourdes Garcia died in a crash on Alum Rock Avenue. Their vehicle was struck by a reckless driver.
 
The fatal San Jose accident happened on September 27 around 8:15 a.m. on Alum Rock Avenue, near Alexander Avenue.
 
Moreover, it occurred between the 680 Freeway and North Capitol Avenue in San Jose.
 
Responding officers confirmed that a speeding 2007 white work van traveled west on Alum Rock Avenue. Then, the van drove across Alexander Avenue. This happened despite a solid red light.
 
Consequently, the van hit a 2002 red Nissan Maxima heading south on Alexander Avenue, police added.
 
As a result, the male Maxima driver, 43-year-old Limon, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, responders transported the adult female passenger, 52-year-old Garcia, to a local hospital; however, the passenger later died.
 
Furthermore, police confirmed that the van driver didn’t suffer any injuries. They detained and booked him into jail. His charges include vehicular manslaughter and reckless driving.
 
Galdino Limon and Lourdes Garcia are survived by their three children, two girls and one 19-year-old son.
