9-Year-Old Boy Killed in Hunt County Crash; Driver Accused of Drunk Driving
Hunt County, TX (November 20, 2025) — 9-year-old Giovanni Quinones of Farmersville died early Tuesday morning after a pickup truck overturned on County Road 1102, and the driver now faces an intoxication manslaughter charge.
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded around 1:12 a.m. and found that a 1993 Chevrolet pickup had veered off the southbound lane and flipped. Authorities arrested the driver, Julian Rangel Rivera, and booked him into the Hunt County Jail. He is accused of intoxication manslaughter. Officials have not released his connection to the child, and additional details have not yet been provided.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the family of young Giovanni Quinones. Losing a child is an unimaginable tragedy, and we hope his loved ones find strength and support during this devastating time.
Finding Strength and Justice After a Tragic Loss
The loss of a loved one in a sudden accident is one of life’s hardest moments. Along with the emotional pain, families are often faced with unexpected challenges—medical bills, funeral costs, and the deep void left by the loss of companionship and support.
During such a painful time, it’s important to remember that you don’t have to go through it alone. Filing a wrongful death claim can help you seek justice for your loved one and provide crucial financial support for your family’s future.
A wrongful death claim can help cover:
- Funeral and burial expenses
- Medical costs related to your loved one’s final care
- Lost income and future financial support
- Emotional suffering and loss of companionship
But this process isn’t just about financial recovery—it’s about accountability. If the accident was caused by reckless driving, intoxication, or negligence, holding the responsible party accountable can help prevent similar tragedies from happening to others.
While no legal action can ever replace the person you’ve lost, pursuing justice can bring a sense of closure and peace. It’s one way to honor your loved one’s life and legacy.
