11-Year-Old Girl Hurt in Pedestrian Accident on Fyler Avenue [St. Louis, MO]

St. Louis, MO (November 14, 2025) — An 11-year-old girl suffered serious injuries Monday morning after a pedestrian accident on Fyler Avenue.

According to authorities, the incident occurred around 7:50 a.m. in the 5200 block of Fyler Avenue near the Gateway Science Academy of St. Louis.

Police said the girl ran out from behind a parked car and attempted to cross the street when an eastbound vehicle struck her. The driver, who remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, tried to swerve to avoid the collision but was unable to stop in time.

The impact knocked the girl to the ground, causing a head injury. Paramedics transported her to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Police said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
