Grand Junction Man Glenn Holmes Dead in 8th Street and Iowa Avenue Tragic Crash [Palisade, CO]

Palisade, CO (January 17, 2026) – Glenn Holmes, a 54-year-old Grand Junction man, was killed in a motorcycle crash on 8th Street on Thursday.

Troopers said a motorcycle driven by Holmes collided with a car at the intersection with Iowa Avenue. 

Immediately, rescuers responded to the scene and attempted lifesaving efforts, but Holmes succumbed to his injuries. Officers said he was not wearing a helmet when the collision happened.

Palisade Police Department is conducting a further investigation.
