Gloria Barajas and Brenda Quinonez Dies in Head-on Crash on Road 56 [Reedley, CA]

Reedley, CA(December 5, 2023) On Sunday evening, 55-year-old Gloria Barajas and 35-year-old Brenda Quinonez were killed o a head-on crash on Road 56.

According to the CHP, the fatal DUI crash happened Road 56 and Avenue 430.

Reports say that a white Ford F-150, driven by 43-year-old Blake Thomas Benham, the Principal of Kennedy Elementary School in Dinuba, crossed onto the opposite lane and collided head-on with a blue Nissan SUV carrying 4 people.

Officials say that the collision killed Barajas and her daughter Quinonez, while the 2 other occupants of the Nissan suffered serious injuries. CHP says that Benham suffered minor injuries.

CHP arrested Benham for DUI and is facing vehicular manslaughter and felony DUI charges.
