Navasota Woman Dies in Head-On Crash in Southern Brazos County

Brazos County, TX (November 28, 2025) — Early Tuesday morning, 64-year-old Gloria De’Duarte of Navasota, lost her life in a head-on crash on FM 2154.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened just before 7:30 a.m. on FM 2154 near Joubert Road, south of Millican.

Investigators say that De’Duarte was driving south in the northbound lane when a pickup approached from the opposite direction. Both drivers swerved into the southbound lane to avoid each other but ended up crashing head-on.

The pickup driver suffered minor injuries and received treatment at the scene. DPS officials believe dense fog may have played a role in the collision. De’Duarte was less than a mile from her home when the crash occurred.
