Gregory Gardner Dead in 4-Vehicle Crash on W University Boulevard [Odessa, TX]

Odessa, TX (February 6, 2025) – Gregory Gardner, 60, of Odessa, was killed in a 4-vehicle crash on W University Boulevard early Tuesday morning.

The fatal multi-vehicle crash happened around 6:20 a.m. at the intersection with Mercedes Avenue.

Investigators said a 22-year-old Weslaco man was eastbound in a GMC Sierra while towing another GMC Sierra when drove in the westbound lanes. The GMC driven by the Welasco man then struck a BMW driven by a 30-year-old Midland woman. 

Afterward, the GMC being towed also struck a Toyota RAV4 that Gardner drove.

Gardner wasn’t wearing a seat belt during the collision. Sadly, the authorities declared him dead at the scene. 

The BMW driver was taken to Odessa Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

The Weslaco man and his passenger weren’t injured in the accident.
