Injuries Reported in Napa Multi-Vehicle Accident on Old Sonoma Road
NAPA, CA (May 25, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, Guadalupe Lopez Alvarado suffered injuries in a DUI crash on Old Sonoma Road.
The incident happened at 3:20 p.m. in the 4000 block of Old Sonoma Road, south of Congress Valley Road.
Responders took 26-year-old Nicholas Burchett to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center due to major injuries. They also transported 47-year-old Guadalupe Lopez Alvarado to the hospital with major injuries. Moreover, another 16-year-old passenger in Lopez Alvarado’s car required hospitalization due to moderate injuries.
At this time, Burchett is facing a potential charge of causing injury by driving under the influence. However, he was not listed in Napa County jail booking records as of Sunday night.
Reports said that Burchett drove a 2016 Subaru Impreza in the northbound lane. Then, it crossed the center line, sideswiped a 2016 Kia, and then collided head-on with Lopez Alvarado’s 2014 Toyota Camry.
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old Sonoma man driving the Kia suffered no injuries in the crash.
