Unborn Child Dies in Moberly Crash; Teen Driver Arrested for Suspected DWI
Moberly, MO (November 10, 2025) — A tragic crash on Highway 63, late Saturday night claimed the life of an unborn baby and left two people injured, leading to the arrest of 19-year-old Hayden Wilson
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the horrific collision happened shortly after 11 p.m. on Highway 63, about two miles south of Moberly.
Authorities said Wilson of Novelty, Missouri, was driving a pickup truck from a side road and failed to yield, pulling into the path of a southbound pickup driven by another 19-year-old from Fairfield, Iowa.
The impact injured both drivers and a pregnant passenger from Fairfield, identified as a 23-year-old woman. She suffered serious injuries, and her unborn baby was later pronounced dead at University Hospital in Columbia.
Troopers said Wilson, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained minor injuries. He was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter, two counts of DWI involving serious injury, and failure to yield.
