Shocking Head-On Collision on Highway 145 Kills 2 Motorists [Fresno County, CA]

Fresno County, CA (July 16, 2025) Early Saturday morning, a tragic head-on collision on Highway 145 claimed 2 drivers lives.

According to authorities, the fatal crash happened at around 3:17 a.m. just south of Avenue 11 in Fresno County.

Reports say that a southbound red Jeep Cherokee driven by a 49-year-old Fresno woman veered into the opposite lane and collided with a northbound white Subaru Crosstrek, driven by a 25-year-old man from North Fork. The impact severely damaged both vehicles and left them disabled in the roadway.

Moments later, a white Isuzu NPR heading northbound, driven by a 41-year-old man from Kerman, crashed into the already wrecked vehicles. The Isuzu sustained minor damage, and its driver was not injured.

Despite immediate life-saving efforts, both the Jeep and Subaru drivers died at the scene. Authorities confirmed the woman in the Jeep was not wearing a seatbelt. At this time, it is unclear whether alcohol contributed to the crash. The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
