Rutherford, CA (August 22, 2023) On Monday morning, a Vallejo man, a Pacheco man and his passenger were hurt in a head-on collision on Highway 29.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the 2-vehicle crash happened around 6:41 a.m. south of Bella Oaks Lane.

Reports say that a northbound Nissan and a southbound Chevrolet work truck collided head-on after both vehicles crossed the centerline.

Officials say that the Nissan driver, identified as the 62-year-old Vallejo resident, sustained serious injuries and was transported by AMR to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center.

meanwhile, the 23-year-old male truck driver suffered cuts in the collision and a front-seat passenger suffered a broken ankle.

CHP is investigating the 2-vehicle crash and has not released additional information at this time.
