Violent Head-On Collision on La Sierra Avenue Led to Injuries [Riverside County, CA]

Riverside County, CA (March 29, 2024) On Tuesday evening, a horrific head-on collision on La Sierra Avenue left a person with critical injuries and several juveniles with minor injuries.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the 2-vehicle crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on La Sierra Avenue, less than a mile north of Cajalco Road.

Reports say that a southbound Toyota Corolla drifted towards the left and crossed the double yellow lines and onto the opposite lane, causing the Toyota to collide with a northbound Tesla.

First responders arrived at the scene and found the Toyota driver unresponsive, CHP officers immediately performed PR on the driver until Riverside County Fire Department paramedics took over, and transported the man to a regional trauma center after being revived.

Meanwhile, officials say that 4 juveniles were on the Tesla, and all suffered minor to major injuries and were also taken to the hospital.

Authorities are investigating the horrific 2-vehicle crash and have not released additional information at this time.
