2 People Hurt in Yakima Auto Accident on 2800 West Washington Avenue

YAKIMA, WA (April 3, 2025) – Tuesday morning, a crippling head-on crash on 2800 West Washington Avenue injured two people.

The incident happened at around 8:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of West Washington Avenue.

According to the Yakima Police Department, a westbound GMC Sonoma veered into the eastbound lanes for still unknown reasons and collided head-on with a Ford F150.

Moreover, firefighters rushed to the scene and extricated the 39-year-old male driver of the GMC trapped inside the wreckage. Then, paramedics transported the GMC driver with life-threatening injuries and the 60-year-old driver of the Ford with non-life-threatening injuries, to a hospital for treatment.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
