1 Person Dead in Camden County Traffic Accident on Highway 5 and Niangua Bridge

CAMDEN COUNTY, MO (June 14, 2026) – Thursday night, a horrific head-on crash on Highway 5 and Niangua Bridge killed one person.

The incident happened at around 6:22 p.m. on Highway 5 and Niangua Bridge.

According to reports, a 2004 Toyota Highlander and a 2018 BMW X3 collided head-on for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders rushed the 63-year-old male driver of the Toyota to Lake Regional Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Then, paramedics transported a 22-year-old male passenger of the BMW to University Hospital with serious injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Missouri State Highway Patrol continued investigating the crash.
