Two People Dead After Crash on Las Posas Road in Ventura County

VENTURA COUNTY, CA (March 25, 2026) — Two drivers died Wednesday after a head-on crash on Las Posas Road south of Laguna Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP said dispatchers began receiving calls about the two-vehicle crash at about 1:24 p.m. on March 25. 

After investigating, officers determined that a man driving an orange Porsche Coupe was traveling northbound on Las Posas Road south of the intersection with Laguna Road. 

At the same time, another man was driving a white Ford Expedition southbound on the same roadway.

Based on evidence gathered at the scene and witness statements, CHP said the driver of the Ford Expedition crossed into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with the Porsche.

The driver of the Porsche suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver of the Ford sustained major injuries and was taken to Los Robles Regional Medical Center, where medical professionals later pronounced him dead.

Investigators have not determined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the fatal crash.
