Violent Head-On Crash on State Route 507 Injures 3 People [Thurston County, WA]

Thurston County, WA (February 4, 2025) – 3 people were rushed to the hospital after a frightening head-on crash on State Route 507 Sunday afternoon.

According to WSP, the traffic collision happened at 4:07 p.m. near milepost 20 west of Rainier in southeast Thurston County.

Reports say that the head-on collision sent three people to the hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities say that an Oregon woman driving northbound lost control of her vehicle, veered into the southbound lanes, and crashed head-on into another car carrying one passenger.

The impact left her vehicle blocking both lanes of the highway, while the other vehicle was pushed off the road and down an embankment.

Emergency responders transported all three individuals to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia for treatment. WSP described the crash as a serious injury collision and urged drivers to remain cautious, especially in hazardous winter weather conditions.

Investigators are still determining the cause of the crash, but authorities confirmed that drugs and alcohol were not factors. The highway remained closed for nearly three hours following the collision.
