Hector Mejia Garcia Injured in Highway 11 Deadly Crash

18-Year-Old Makynna Eden Tumlinson Dies in Rear-End Collision Near McGraw Lane

Grayson County, TX (June 5, 2026) – Hector Mejia Garcia, a 37‑year‑old truck driver from Allen, sustained injuries following a Highway 11 deadly crash Wednesday afternoon.

The fatal traffic accident happened before 4 p.m. on June 3 near McGraw Lane.

According to the authorities, a Chevrolet Cruz’ driver, Makynna Eden Tumlinson, 18, was northbound on the freeway when she failed to maintain control her vehicle and rear-ended a 2007 International truck in front of her.

Both vehicles rested in the northbound lane.

Rescuers transported the truck’s driver, Garcia, to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Sadly, Tumlinson lost her life in the collision.

In the meantime, Texas DPS is conducting a further investigation into the accident.
