Hector Villalva Hurt in Fatal Collision on FM 145 [Parmer County, TX]

Parmer County, TX (July 21, 2026) — 63-year-old Hector Villalva was hurt, and 23-year-old Christian Cano lost his life in a two-vehicle crash early Tuesday on FM 145 in Parmer County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Christian Alberto Cano of Farwell was driving a 1999 Dodge Ram eastbound when his vehicle crossed into the westbound lane and collided with a Volvo truck-tractor towing a semi-trailer. The truck was being driven by Hector Guerrero Villalva of Clovis.

The impact caused Cano’s pickup to roll over and catch fire. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

Villalva sustained minor injuries and received treatment at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Hector Villalva’s current condition remains unknown.
