Highway 97 Collision Fatally Injures Driver Alberto Martinez Flores [Pateros, WA]

Pateros, WA (January 19, 2025) – A 43-year-old driver, Alberto Martinez Flores of Brewster, was killed following a Highway 97 collision early Friday morning.

The deadly traffic accident happened around 4:20 a.m. at MP 256.

Officers said a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Jonathon Husong of Tulsa, Oklahoma, crossed the center line and struck Flores’ car and a small SUV driven by a 37-year-old Omak man.

WSP declared Alberto Martinez Flores deceased at the scene while the Omak man was not hurt.

The drivers wore seatbelts and were the only occupants in each vehicle during the collision.

Meanwhile, WSP is conducting a further investigation into this fatal crash.
